Christian Filmmakers Camp
May 16th - 21st
(Arrive Saturday, May 15th - Depart Saturday, May 22nd)

Spend a week in beautiful Southwest Colorado for an intense time of hands-on filmmaker training like nothing you’ve ever experienced before!  Learn from industry professional Norton Rodriguez!  Norton will teach you not only the technical aspects of filmmaking but how to use the visual medium for the promotion of the Gospel and the furtherance of the Kingdom of God!  (Click here to learn more about Norton)

This camp is for students who want to learn more about cinematography and lighting, anyone interested in camera operating, director of photography or directing skills. Our small group environment insures you get loads of hands-on experience!

What you will learn:

Students will be part of writing, producing, directing and shooting an actual short film.
In the process you will get hands-on experience learning:

• How to use a video camera as a storytelling tool

• Basic & Advanced Camera Techniques and shot composition

• Location scouting

• Considerations when shooting indoors and outdoors

• Working with Jibs and Dollies

• Lighting: Interior and Exterior, lighting for interviews, lighting a green screen

• Interaction between director and the director of photography

• And much more!

Accommodations: The Rocky Mountain Christian Filmmakers Camp is being hosted by Norwood Christian Ranch in Norwood, Colorado. The Ranch is located at an elevation of 7000 feet with beautiful mountain views, wildlife, and plenty of outdoor recreation. Registration fee includes lodging and three meals per day.
