Equipping Families to Live for Christ

Families For Christ Ministries was formed for the purpose of equipping godly families to live for Christ.  We believe strongly that the reason God brings a husband and wife together is because He seeks godly offspring (Malachi 2:15).  Raising up godly families who honor Him by following His biblical principles for life is our goal at Families For Christ Ministries.

Norwood Christian Ranch Family Retreat Center

Families For Christ Ministries was founded by brothers Ken, Don, and Dale Lawrence.   The Lawrence's come from a family of eight kids, 7 boys and 1 girl.  Growing up in a large family showed them how important family is.  Families For Christ Ministries was founded out of the Lawrence's love and concern for families in today's society.  Below is a little more information about the current board members and their families.

Our Current Board Members and Their Families:

Pastor Ken Lawrence Family
(clockwise) Ken, Zachary, Heather, Thomas, Robert, and Christine

Ken Lawrence is the founder and President of Families For Christ Ministries and his wife, Christine, is the Secretary/Treasurer.  Ken was ordained into the ministry on June 4th, 2000 at First Christian Church of Palmdale in California. Baptized by his brother Dale at the age of 13, Ken has been actively involved in serving the Lord ever since.

Ken's Christian service includes being a church janitor, Jr. High and High School youth sponsor, Jr. High and High School Sunday School teacher, choir member, drama performer, praise team leader, and Elder/Pastor.  Ken is the Pastor of Norwood Christian Church in Norwood, Colorado. Ken and Christine are the directors of Norwood Christian Ranch, a Christian retreat and conference center.

Ken & Christine were married in 1981; they have been homeschooling since 1998.  They have four children: Zack ('87), Heather ('90), Thomas ('02) & Robert ('05).

Pastor Dale Lawrence Family
Diana, Jenna, Jacque, Jon, Justin (back row), and Dale

Dale and Diana met at Pacific Christian College in 1975, and were married in 1978. Prior to August of 1991, Dale and his family lived in Fountain Hills Arizona. Dale was a paramedic-fire fighter on the Hazardous Materials team for the City of Phoenix. Diana was the director of Children’s Ministries and preschool of Christ’s Church of Fountain Hills where they were charter members.

In August of 1991 Dale and Diana and their family answered God's call to become missionaries at the American Indian Christian Mission near Show Low Arizona.  Dale was the Executive Director for the AICM from May of 1992 until 2000.  In 1999, after much prayer for God's leading regarding ministry on the Reservations of America, God began to move quickly.  Doors were opened to the San Carlos Reservation that were astonishing.

God provided a church building in Globe Arizona, about 18 miles from town of San Carlos on the San Carlos Apache Reservation for $1 a year.  Dale and his family began to drive 90 miles each way from Show Low to Globe to preach on Sunday and to visit the Reservation.  After a year of this God brought a new Director to AICM and Dale and Diana began traveling to promote the ministries for AICM.

God was still at work on the San Carlos Reservation and it became increasingly clear that He wanted Dale and Diana to begin work there.  On March 28th, 2002 Arizona Reservation Ministries was born.  Incorporated as an Arizona Non-profit corporation, Dale and Diana began full time ministry to the Apache people in San Carlos Arizona.

They currently volunteer at the Apache Youth Home helping with maintenance and upkeep and are working toward providing bible lessons, games and activities for the children there.  Plans are in the works to begin a mobile youth center to several communities on the San Carlos Reservation this fall.  This bus ministry will work with children 5-12.  Plans are also in the works for a men's bible study and fellowship at one of the local churches. Work teams are being assembled to provide VBS programs on the Reservation this summer and to assist Native Pastors with youth programs, facility improvements and benevolence projects to the poor, widowed and needy on the Reservation.

If you would like to be a partner with this outreach, contact Dale and Diana at 928-425-8449.

Dale & Diana have four children: Jacque ('81), Jon ('83), Justin ('89) & Jenna ('90).
